eSIM Installation Instructions

Welcome to eSIMTown.com. Please follow the instructions below to install your eSIM on an iPhone or Android device. Before starting, make sure your device supports eSIM and is carrier unlocked.
Before You Start
- Make sure your device supports eSIM technology.
- Confirm that your phone is carrier unlocked.
- Connect to a stable Wi-Fi network before installation.
- Keep your QR code or activation details ready.
- Do not delete the eSIM profile after installation unless instructed by support.
Important: Some eSIM plans should be installed before departure, while others can be installed after arrival. Please check the product details for your specific plan.
1. iPhone eSIM Installation
These steps apply to iPhone XS, XR, and later models running iOS 12.1 or later.
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap Cellular or Mobile Data.
- Select Add eSIM or Add Cellular Plan.
- Choose Use QR Code.
- Scan the QR code sent to your email by eSIMTown.
- If you received manual activation details, tap Enter Details Manually and input the information provided.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
- Label your plan if prompted, such as Travel or eSIMTown.
- Set your eSIM as the default line for mobile data if needed.
- Turn on Data Roaming if your plan requires it.
After installation, your eSIM may activate immediately or when you arrive at your destination, depending on the plan type.
2. Android eSIM Installation
Android menus may vary slightly depending on the device brand and software version. The steps below apply to most Samsung, Google Pixel, and other Android devices that support eSIM.
- Open Settings on your Android device.
- Tap Network & Internet, Connections, or SIM Manager.
- Select Add eSIM, Add mobile plan, or Add SIM.
- Choose Scan QR code.
- Scan the QR code provided by eSIMTown.
- If manual activation details were provided, choose the option to enter the activation code manually.
- Follow the prompts to download and install the eSIM profile.
- Set the eSIM as your preferred SIM for mobile data if required.
- Enable Data Roaming if your plan requires it.
- Restart your device if the eSIM does not connect automatically.
Once installed, your Android device should connect to the supported network automatically when service is available.
3. Troubleshooting
- QR code not scanning: Increase screen brightness or enter the activation details manually.
- No service after installation: Make sure mobile data and data roaming are enabled.
- eSIM already installed: Do not reinstall the same eSIM unless instructed by support.
- Still not working: Restart your device and check that your phone is unlocked and eSIM-compatible.
